Merry Almost Christmas

I can’t believe it’s pretty much the last week of this semester! I’m so excited, yet sad. I can’t believe I’m a senior and honestly, this year was pretty good. I hope next semester is good, too! Christmas is next week and I’m amazed that 2009 is almost here! Since I’ve had deaths in my family recently, it just doesn’t seem like Christmas at all! I still have some shopping to do….and I love shopping!

If I don’t get on here again this week, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It’s about 47 days until Christmas! I pretty much know what I want to give to those I buy for, but have no idea what anyone could possibly give me in return. I’m pretty lucky when it comes to that- all the stuff are pretty much wants. Of couse, I have a few needs, but nothing I couldn’t get anytime of the year. Anyway, I’m a Christmas maniac. With my parents, I decorate about the whole house with me saying “maybe that should go over there..” I have to have the decorations up for Thanksgiving so everyone can see my work =)

The Peanuts holiday specials- even in this fast-paced world, adults and children can relate to these episodes and possibly to a character. There is Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Pigpen, Franklin, Rerun- all symbolizing different people in the world. I have to admit, I love Linus =) When I was younger, I had a “blankie” I would carry around with me. All of the holiday specials pretty much have a theme which can be related to modern day. Thank you, Charles M. Schulz for creating Peanuts.

I went to the doctor yesterday (seems like that’s all I ever do) and apparently, my ankle is a big concern. How? I don’t know exactly yet, but it should have been healed up and guess what? It’s not. So, the doctors may put me in a boot (nooooo!) and wait until I get to a orthopedic doctor. Gees…this just stinks!!!! I bought some really neat shoes, too and I haven’t been able to wear them yet and so, if they put me in a boot (I hope not for long) it will put me days or weeks away from wearing them….still!

Swarovski Covered Mercedes

I received an e-mail about a Swarovski covered Mercedes about 2 months ago and unfortunately, I couldn’t see the pictures. Ironically, on my homepage it was on the top searches. Finally, I got to see this car!! Depending on your style, it’s gaudy or cool, or both. I must say, it’s pretty cool to look at and it’s a must see. Handwriting Says…

I was laying on the couch yesterday morning watching the Today show and a woman was on who worked for the FBI (I think) and said that you could tell a lot about a person by their handwriting. When examples were shown, it was amazing to me. It seemed like I knew you could do this, but at the same time I really didn’t know. As nerdy as it sounds, I think it would be cool to analyze handwriting.

My dog is one spoiled pooch. I mean, I REALLY love my dog. It is almost sickening of how much I adore my human-like dog. When Piper was a puppy, I got her a Christmas stocking and yes, I still play Santa Paws with her. She loves it….I love, love, love, love, love, love, love Piper…even more than shoes, purses, or shopping in general, which is a TON x12187548754.

I just read an article about some Pet Christmas Trade Show and all the things that was in it. One of the items was a $900, porcelain dinner bowl covered with hand-placed Swarovski crystals. I love that. I mean, if I were a dog I would so wanna eat my food out of a Swarovski crystal bowl. Then, organic chew toys. Why not have a dog go “green?” To top it all off, dog beds that are plush with memory foam mattresses.

Yep…gives me the perfect ideas of what to get Piper. Sorry, I love to spoil Piper…she is the best dog AND in case you’re wondering how deep my human-like dog obsession goes, I even put her in a political party and when I say the opposite party, she growls. Yep, perfect pooch.

Not only that, but under the shopping section, certain websites will donate a percentage of your purchase to your cause. This site is powered by Yahoo! Isn’t that cool? A search that gives back. I love it.

On the “green” side, Nissan will sell an electric car in the U.S. in 2010 (worldwide with different shapes and sizes in 2012). The picture of the car looks pretty cute; almost like a toy car. Just thought I would mention that.

Ads, Ads, Ads!

What is it with Walter Dalton? That’s all I ever hear when I turn on WBTV….”WALTER DALTON….WALTER DALTON…” you’ve seen the ad; it’s so annoying. It’s just like a HEADON commerical- don’t make me go there. Then, I hear all the other ads; Dole, McCroy, Perdue, Haygan, Obama, McCain, the list goes on. I KNOW this election is important, but seriously, I’m going to be so thankful when it’s over. I’m tired of hearing about it EVERYWHERE. Then, whoever gets in office, I’ll hear about all the “trouble” he/she is making and all the “wrong” decisions. Seems like America can’t shutup about anything. Now, when I say shutup, I mean like how many houses a candiate has (very umimportant). Recently, it is “Joe the Plumber.” Every channel mentions him…I wonder if he’s happy about his newfound fame. I guess the media will keep mentioning him until they get bored with that story. That’s all I really I have to say..I’m just tired of hearing about unimportant issues and the attack ads..OH LORD, the attack ads. That’s another rant….just shutup!! Just stop it.

Life’s interesting, isn’t it? It seems like yesterday I was a little munchkin making my Christmas list for “Santa.” Watching Barney and all those other shows…..it was the good life. I can remember running up to my Mom and Dad when they came home, possibly having a drawing I drew just for them. Then, in elementary school, coming home, eating homemade cookies, and working on homework (I had my Nana who would make my favorite cookie in the whole world and would have them ready when I came to her house). Then, came middle school, which other than meeting new people, wasn’t a great 2 years. There I said it. I had about 4 great teachers the whole time I was there. I don’t care what you say, I think the middle school in Ashe County was screwed up when I was there. After that, high school. I can remember my first day at ACHS. It was for band camp. You know, that was pretty fun, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the heat. Freshman year was the best despite all my health issues. I love high school compared to the other schools in the county I was in. There’s just something about being treated like an actual person rather than someone who doesn’t know how to tie their own shoes. I can just remember little things about life before I became a Senior. I’m excited in some ways, other ways, I’m not. It’s just amazing to think that several years ago I couldn’t wait to drive- sadly, I can’t still, but thats another story and I couldn’t wait to graduate. Now, that its almost here, there are so many mixed emotions, but thats okay. I honestly don’t know where I’m going with this…there are a lot of roads to go down, but with my broken wrists (woo hoo!) I can’t go too far.
